Array End of the NFL 2009 Season for Matt K Wow...
Amy and I were rooting for the Saints. What a great story. By the third quarter, I felt good about their chances. In a few weeks, I'll start the NFL 2010 season for Matt. In the meantime, let's talk about this great win by New Orleans! -

Array Heck - I felt good about the Saints at the half. In the that second quarter of play where they denied the Colts the ball - including that three-and out at the end - was a game-changer. The Colts had all the momentum in the first quarter and the Saints, even though they had not scored, really took the wind out the Colt's sails in the second quarter. They just built on that after the half.
I am pleased for them - I had no dog in the hunt - I was just watching for the enjoyment factor. I was really pleased that they won - it was a great, great ending for them.
The commercials sucked - I only thought the Dorritos' dog commercial was somewhat funny. Beyond that very pedestrian. However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally take a look at the results. ~ Churchill

Array One of the best Superbowls for me. My team won, though .
Seriously though, the onside kick at the start of the half was one of the ballsiest moves I've ever seen. The 2 point conversion was awesome, and the interception was textbook. It was a good game to watch all the way through.
And come on, the freaking Who? Icing on the cake.
My favorite commercial was the Dorito samurai. The Betty White Snickers commercial was pretty good too. But yeah, most of the commercials this year were just... strange. "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." -

Array I'm happy for the Saints, but it's so odd to see them as Super Bowl champions. Anyone in my generation thought that would NEVER happen. But now we've seen the New Orleans Aints and the Tampa Bay Suckaneers, two former laughingstocks of the league, win the Lombardi trophy. Who would have guessed? I suppose if that can happen, my Buffalo Bills could find redemption in the future.
Payton must have balls the size of grapefruits to call for that on-side kick in the third quarter. But what an amazing play. NOBODY saw it coming.
I love the fact that Brees won the Super Bowl and San Diego still can't win a playoff game. How many Charger fans are kicking themselves over that?
The commercials were pretty odd this year. What was with all the pantsless men? There were like four ads that had guys wearing no pants. What's up with that? Personally, I loved the Snickers commercial with Betty White.
One last thing, it's hilarious and sad to think Jabari Greer "wasn't good enough" to even be a backup for the Buffalo Bills, but he was good enough to start for the world champs. Way to go, Buffalo! Can't you, just this once, f*** off? -

In the end, it was a good game to watch, and I enjoyed it.
