    Not so quick to judge....

Perhaps we need to connect the dots… Recently a local fencing club taught a significant amount of local students the sport of fencing. Those students upon entering high school put pressure upon the district resulting in the creation of another local team. Coaches and Clubs need to recognize the importance of this avenue and thus we created a High School Fencing Blog to be followed by a fully functional web site. It will serve to inform others around the country of these Teams and Divisions allowing for networking and with the hope of creating new leagues. As a coach you should understand that students need an outlet for their activities and that not every athlete is suited for and/or desires national competition. We are trying to generate interest, not offend anyone.

Yes. However, this subsection of the forum is about coaching. Questions about coaching, discussion of methods, etc.

Under your logic everything in any of these forums is related to coaching.

Make it easy, if you have results, post them in the RESULTS subforum...
    "Sir, didn't I parry"
"You didn't take advantage of his blade enough, so no."

(I guess i should have romanced it a bit more..."

Perhaps you should consider yourself included in that 'we'. You've put the word out about your high school fencing blog multiple times and in multiple places. That covers the 'generate interest' portion of your goal. Those that want to follow the details, such as event results and new sections added, will see that information when you post it on your blog, assuming you're managing and updating your blog appropriately. Continuing to post that same information here -- in multiple threads, no less -- after having been requested to be more appropriately selective in your postings isn't 'generating interest,' it's doing exactly the opposite. You're going to wind up on a lot of peoples' 'ignore' lists, which is exactly the opposite of what you say you want.

    More is not always better.

I agree...these results do not belong in the Coaching Corner. Coaches interested in high school fencing results will look for them.....elsewhere.
