1. Persons subject to these rules
t.81
The regulations laid down in this Part apply to all persons who take
part in, or who are present in any capacity whatsoever at an
international or United States Fencing Association competition
(organizers, officials, referees, fencers, auxiliary personnel, team
captains, trainers, spectators, etc.), whatever their nationality or
affiliation.
Hereinafter, all these persons are described as ‘fencers’.
t.82 Everybody taking part in or present at a fencing competition
must remain orderly and must not disturb the smooth running
of the competition. During bouts (between the command
“Fence” and “Halt,”) no one is allowed to go near the strips or
to give advice to the fencers.
(emphasis mine)
So, yes, it is disturbing order. This is enforced to varying degrees throughout the USFA, but it is a cardable offense. Been There. Done That. Too Bad. -

Often your opponent's coach ends up helping you more than his own fencer because he can't shut up. Use it to your advantage. Been There. Done That. Too Bad. -

I've been able to do this a couple of times. Originally Posted by Rockstar44 No, sorry, Telk....

Never, EVER?
Never, ever, EVER?
I may not be as all-knowing as you are, Telk, even though I HAVE seen this rule enforced. Several times.
That's not never.
Thanks. Been There. Done That. Too Bad. -
Well, hardly ever. -

Array Isn't that a minor piece in a G&S operetta?
The real question is *where* have you seen it thrown, and who threw it. The only way to atone for being occasionally a little over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated. -Oscar Wilde -

Array That's NOT a question, inasmuch as it ends with the wrong punctuation mark.
One day, I will card for that. I am just biding my time, waiting for the occasion where it will cause the most consternation, vexation and argument... Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Array mmm i eagerly await that day... -

Array Hmm, all I aimed to do was give an example relavent to more than just the coached fencer as to when I believe coaching is too much.
It's a cardable offense yes, though apparently it doesn't happen much. The point is, in those situations something can be done, even if it's not done often.
No need to argue, gah. You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you mad. -

Array Right now I don't know if you noticed but there are thirty or forty other people in the room, many of whom have donated significant amounts of money to the Democratic Party, so perhaps you could put a tighter grip on your horses and we will talk about it later. Do you think there's any chance that you could be rude to me
tomorrow? Tomorrow is Saturday. I will be here. You can call me and be rude by phone or you can stop by and do it in person. Cause I think if I have to endure another disappointment today from this place that I have worshiped, I am gonna lose it. So if you could wait until tomorrow, I would appreciate it. Similar Threads -
