Array D'Artagnan III? Anybody have any info on these? After blowing through my Adidas En Guards, looking for new ones. These are at the top of my price range, but I wasn't sure how they'd work.

Array I always click on these threads, thinking thats its a satire of how many threads there are about shoes. Alas, I'm always disappointed that they are SERIOUS!!!!
Sigh, might as well say something productive...
If you ask me, almost all Adidas shoes other than the Engardes are b-ball shoes that are called fencing shoes. They are quite expensive, for something that I don't consider very good.
I would recommend Leon Paul shoes if you can find the money for them.
Getting fencing shoes from a fencing company is probably better than getting fencing shoes from a shoe company. Do you wear an Armani (sp) fencing jacket? "Sir, didn't I parry"
"You didn't take advantage of his blade enough, so no."
(I guess i should have romanced it a bit more..." -

Array 'fraid not on the Armani, but my En Guards fell apart. I have no heel anymore. the sole is gone lol and sectionals are coming up... -

I'm not saying the engardes are the best shoes, I just mean they are actual fencing shoes, not b-ball shoes that say FENCING. Really, just go with the Leon Pauls...
I recently go the new Absolute Shoes. I'm kinda iffy on them, they are more than a bit clunky, especially down by the toe. "Sir, didn't I parry"

Not to mention that my right one (Elite II's) split apart on the inside face after the first practice...
Now I'll take my Adidas Goodyears with an insole any day.

I have been pretty happy with my Adistar 08s, but they are also chunky and not as close to the ground as the LP's. I went to them while I was recovering from a knee injury and I needed the cushioning. They are decent shoes, but the price and the mass are probably going to be beyond most preferences. Like the man said, go with LP shoes. For the money, probably the best on the market. They are what most people in my club have and what we sell/recommend for mid and top shelf shoes. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!
