I have to say I'm a little dissapointed you didn't shoot the final. I would have loved to have seen a shot of Travis flying through the air

Had that final been on the strip where we had the evening "demonstration" event with the same lighting, I would have done so. However, the lighting in the main area of the competition (which is where most other bouts took place) was insufficient and lacking proper contrast and conducive for they kind of images I like to produce. It was even darker than what we normally have at Summer Nationals.

In the future it would be nice to have a finals area at DITD so we can do what you suggest. Not sure what we can actually have, however, since lighting is very, very expensive, but I'll be sure to bring it up with Evan during planning for 2010 and see what can be changed. I would like to have had more photos from those events.

None taken. I would really have liked to have shot the bout; I've had Travis fly at me enough times that it would have been fun to have shot it with someone else in his crosshairs.
