Since you asked, the position is now advertised across the pond where there is some ... idle talent

Good luck on the search and the selection!

Alas, extraordinary loud hand clapping does not appear on the job skills list.

I suspect that the $50-65K range is substantially above what the last few HP directors have been pulling down, but you are correct, the person selected will have a lot on their plate.

I hope the current acting HP director, Andrea Lagan, has thrown her "Lemon Squeezer" into the ring for consideration...

I hope the USFA identifies some new talent to fill this position. The status quo is a carry over for the Anderson/Massik era.

Works well with others may not be explicitly specified in the job description (or it may be: I haven't read it yet), but I'd say it's pretty much a requirement.

    Thus, heretic is woefully unqualified.

Yeah, that's pretty much too special for words.

So is Christine Simmons-Strong, yet it would be a crime to replace her.

Andrea has been intensely involved with the international competition programs for the past several years, especially in support of the national teams. I'd think that would make her at least a viable, if not top-level candidate for the slot.

Unfortunately, IMO, Andrea is probably the leading candidate. She can aggressively lobby the new ED, and has institutional knowledge of the organization and sport that he lacks.

Hopefully, the ED will vet her application with the national coaches, athletes and others in the know to get a balanced appraisal of her qualifications and issues. I also hope there are other viable applicants for the position.

As much as competition is always a good thing, your objections in the past have been grounded in a personal vendetta executed through random accusations and unsubstantiated slander.
