Minnesota senator
It looks like I'll finally get myself a senator this coming week. Lesser of two evils - I'll take the comedian turned political commentator over the lying weasel who gets mysterious donations from the same people as Ted Stevens.
Anyway, it strikes me as incredibly poor tact when Coleman asked to have none of the improperly rejected ballots counted last week; then this week he turns around and asks the state supreme court to count more improperly rejected ballots.
I just wish we all did what Georgia does - run-off voting. Minnesota is weird enough that some 3rd party candidates would get elected (remember Jesse the Body?) without fear of "wasting" a vote. Or, like this senate election, the 3rd party candidate got 15% of the vote, which means that from the start, whoever ended up winning couldn't have more than 42% of people who actually voted for him.
Sorry if I sound frustrated, I just want a senator when congress convenes!

I don't live in Minnesota, but as an interested bystander I agree with most everything you said. A run-off election would make so much more sense than these horrible recounts and court challenges.
Good luck!

Yes, and I'm very pleased. But the Coleman campaign is still going to bring a lawsuit. Give it a day or two...

Notice that there are 3 more pages linked from that website with even more ballots.

My only comment is..... et tu? This has to be the worst decade in US History. We've lost several govenors and now the Senate.
The DoW is not doing well again. I did notice a correlation to my employment and the DOW. It tends to rally while I'm employed and then takes a dive when I'm not. Good news is I've been called back twice for interviews again with the same group I worked with, when they have budget and two more interviews again, with another group I used to work with. So we'll see. I hope things work out.

My point was not that I'm terribly underrepresented. However, I was drawing attention to the fact that it truly is time for a paradigm shift in Washington, and the "ol' boys" won't let that happen without fighting tooth and nail at the expense of their credibility and the integrity of elections within the US (*insert angry comment about "city on a hill"*).
It has been just shy of 3 months, and I can't count the number of times that Coleman has shifted his position (the counting of rejected absentee ballots, whether the loser should concede the election, and other publicity stunts). Now we're well past any reasonable amount of time and this still isn't resolved.
I'm not trying to say that my situation is the worst by any means. I'm only attempting to draw attention to the shenanigans that are being pulled by people attempting to represent me while under different investigations of fraud and undocumented gifts (made illegal by the Senate Ethics Committee).
