Array Okay I guess no one has then.
What about recommendations for other knickers? They have to be on the less expensive side, who doesn't love a bargain? -

Array I have gotten both my jacket and my mask from them. I was pleased with both. But its the material that I was wondering about. Stretch pants? Are they good?

Are they good? I can't speak for the quality theirs, but in general, I think most fencers prefer stretch uniforms. The protection is the same, and the stretchiness of the material makes them less constricting and more comfortable. "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent."

Array If they sold you a helmet, buddy let me tell you that you have been had. Fencing uses masks. Construction workers, combat troops and bikers wear helmets. Other than that small detail, the "fencing star" brand looks like a private label/resale of the Epee Co brand that a few other people sell. They are not bad. A little warm, decent stretch and protection. Single lined but fairly thick. The do tend to pill a fair amount. Not a bad choice for the price. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

Array true about the mask thing, probably should refer to it as a mask :P.
I think I might just go for it and if I don't like them just return. -A good fencer is a good liar -
Hello! You are wondering about the Fencing Star knickers? They are good quality, durable, stretchy nylon fabric and wash great. It's really a very good product for the price. I think you'll like them!

Hi there! Fencing Star has been around for almost 5 years now. We are primarily an online business but do operate some out of our fencing club in San Carlos, CA. Fencing Star was started by Valerie Rosenblatt from Elite Musketeers Fencing Club in Menlo Park, CA. She went off to graduate school, our club "merged" with theirs and we took over the online store. Come visit us sometime!! Similar Threads -
