    Happy Hanukkah

To all the Jewish fencers out there.

    Also, it's now officially winter.

At yesterday's tournament, I used a dreydahl to determine overtime priority. The kids got a kick out of it.

May the lights remind us of our military victory over oppression and the holy oil miracle.

Happy Hanukkah! I went to a Christmas party yesterday (thrown by a mixed-religion family where the dad and my friend are Jewish), but my efforts to get us to sing Maot Tzur or Mi Yimalel during the carol sing were resisted. I sang them by myself in the car on the way home.

There is always any one of the 10,000 versions of dreidel dreidel dreidel. (is that stuck in your heads now?

At my house we celebrate Haunimas. When I met my wife her last name was Rosenbaum so I assumed..... You know what happens when you assume.

However, when the twins got to light their menorahs last night they were so excited. Maybe it was just 2 year olds and fire. Little did they know they were getting clothes. Toys are on the agenda for tonight.

In my family it was a Rosenkrantz that surprised us.
