    Not sure where Pozdiankov's quotation above came from. Maxim mentions a press release but I didn't see it briefly poking around the Russian Federation site.

    Well, Ronzhin is probably not laughing now. However; one has to suspect if he was likely to have been reappointed, the "wooden sabres" jest would merely have been a reason for raucous laughter over vodka after the meeting.

    I suspect his days may have been numbered, based on the Russian WS team's poor showings since St. Petersburg, and this was just the formal excuse for a regime change.
