Can I just say that I find this thread to be potentially dangerous? Case in point: an old friend of mine walked away from his computer for a bit, and his wife - for reasons still totally unclear to him - sat down and hit ctrl-v. And what to her wondering eyes should appear but a picture of her beloved husband of many years, taken by him, utterly nude, doing something that should not be described on this family board.  She didn't speak to him for at least a week. (My question, of course, was "WHY was this in your clipboard?!?") To this day, I make sure that whatever is in *my* clipboard gets cleaned out regularly and replaced by something totally innocuous. To that end, mine currently says:

I have this pesky habit of highlighting text while I read it - to help me keep my place when it is in larger blocks. As you *nix user know, there are like two clipboards for us... the ctrl-v, and the middle (or right, or right+left) click.
so, while ctrl+v give me:
shawn johnson (still)
middle-click provides:
speak to him for at least a week. (My question, of course, was "WHY was this in your clipboard?!?") To this day, I make sure that whatever is in *my*
