As a reminder, the sentencing for Paul Runyan, Donald Benge’s killer, is Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 134 of the Calra Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center located at 210 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, California 90012 (downtown LA in the morning...oh joy...)
This from the DA working the case, Iliana Alvarez:
"If you would like to be present to address the court regarding Donald Benge, it would be greatly appreciated. It is important for the judge to hear from friends and loves ones of Donald Benge before imposing sentence on Paul Runyan. If you cannot attend, you may also write a letter that can be given to the judge prior to the sentencing hearing. If you wish to address it to the judge, her name is Judge Marcelita Haynes, Department 134 at the same address as above."
Given the short time frame, if you wish to write anything to present to the court, please email it to me at homfencing@hotmail.com and I will see Ms. Alvarez gets it. I do not know if speakers will be permitted, thus pleas in writing may do the trick.
