Looking for an Ohio fencing coach

If any of you hadn't noticed, Ohio is not the capital for fencing. There are three registered clubs that are even within 2 hours of me, that they're still very far away. With Pirates of the Carribean and other pirate movies, everyone wants to learn how to swordfight. I've wanted to learn how to fence since I was five years old, but I was living in the middle of nowhere in Illinois. Even now, in a town of 35,000, there still aren't a lot of options for fencing. Many of my friends and I have gotten together to try and start a fencing club, but we need a coach. Our school has about 1800 people in it. My principal wants to make it a team, which would mean the school should fund the sport, as many scholarships can come from fencing, and our school has to high of a dropout/not going to college rate for them to overlook that. There is one fencing instructor in the area, and I met with him recently. He was amazing in his day, but he is 73 now, and has suffered a stroke. I have now learned the basics of fencing (I think), but there is no way a man who can't even remember someone's name that has been repeated 6 times to teach a high school club of at least 10. If there are any coaches in northeastern Ohio, please reply.

I'm not sure where you get the number 3. Have you looked at this website?

Sorry, I was looking at the closest fencing clubs to me. There are only three. Kent, Cyrano's Place, and another one I don't remember. YSU's is the closest, but it is a college fencing club. I'm hoping to find an instructor from there, or advice on helping to start my high school club.

If you look on the northren ohio web site you'll see at least six clubs. Shaker hts and West G both have high school teams. In fact there are more instructors than high school clubs/teams. Where is your school? I teach classes in South Euclid.
