Proper Dremel bits for tip screw issues

I bought a Dremel (finally) but don't have the right bits for (1) drilling out a screw that is sheared and (2) if possible, cutting a slot in the screw to try to back it out. Before I try the patience of the guy at Home Depot, the advice of anyone who may know would be appreciated. Thanks

I recommend the 1/32 inch engraving bit for drilling out tip screws. It is actually smaller than the screw diameter.

Check Harbor Freight on the internet. They have a set of 5 extremely thin diamond disks for $6 or less. Useful for cutting screw slots or cleaning Foil grooves while rewiring.

Is the head sheared off or just mashed in the usual way?

If it's mashed, you can usually, but not always, back it out with a tip screwdriver by applying a lot of downward pressure.

Another idea is to use the smallest screwdriver in a dollar store set and hammer it in to the screw.

Cutting a new slot without damaging the barrel is pretty tricky.

I do like the harbor freight diamond disks.
