I've never had any problem with LP wires, epee or foil. The one thing I do have have some trouble with is GT foil tips.

They require more loving care than I am used to giving to a foil. The insides of the tip get dirty quite quickly and need a little cleaning once in awhile.

If I could be bothered to do that, they'd be great.
