    measuring for grip

I am looking to buy a visconti pistol grip, and I'm wondering how i would measure my hand to figure out what size to get?

I ultimately had to find some and try them, because even if you say "I am a medium" not all mediums are created equally.

As a general rule of thumb, I personally think if your glove size is <= 7, you should take a size small in Visconti.

My glove size is a 9.5 I believe, and I use a small grip. I'm fairly sure my coach's hand is bigger than mine and he also uses a small. I know someone who probably wears about the same size glove as me and uses an extra small grip.

I think the first grip I bought was a medium because I assumed I had a medium sized hand. I wear medium sized shirts and such . . . pretty average height . . . so why not? The link posted above is probably pretty accurate, but I'm sure other people around you have viconti pistol grips? Ask if you can hold it for awhile and see what fits best.

Remember, no matter what size grip you get you might still need to adjust it by filing some parts down or something.

I wear a size nine, but use an L Visconti. Although I could probably use an M if I got the right one.

I found that it is not just the size of glove but also the type/manufacturer of the glove that matters: In the beginning I fenced with a cheap thin glove and was quite comfortable with the existing grip size. Then I bought a much thicker LP glove and had to go up in size on the grip.

    You're probably a size S (Uhlmann-shaped Visconti)

My current glove size is 5.5, so I use the smallest grip. But finding a good glove is very-very hard to me, because at most manufacturers glove sizing starts with size 6 or bigger. I really want Allstar combi glove "De Luxe" or the new PBT Favorit!
