Perilously close to tu quoque.
See, I am not the one advocating "the greatest good for the greatest number". YOU are. It's not incumbent upon me to put my money where your mouth is ( so to speak ). Not so, once you agree to use a standard( you clearly ran with it) within the context of a topic, you too are responsible. Otherwise its a double standard. In addition, if you disagree to a standard you must supply your own. You can never simply negate with a fallacy. How many times must I tell you? Moreover the debate never hinges or comes to a close. Again your debate skills are lacking.

Your point doesn't need that angle to validate it. This is one of the reasons why AZ is a better place to hold it than Kansas. Duh!!! Flights are cheaper... poor albuquerque

There you go again, thinking that anyone is going to believe any of that because you say it's so...

Array I'm just going to let you folks fight it out over this... my reasoning is it's done now. I won't be arguing until next sectionals, when it's somewhere stupid like Flagstaff. -
I'm just ecstatic that my first year's sectionals will be within driving distance
Now to just finagle my way into the top 8... -
Hmm...my post got deleted. Wish someone would tell me. Posts like the above stay, though... -

PS: There is a reason you don't hold a tourney but every 7-9 years. Your state blows ass and shouldnt be in our section. Another rational, thoughtful, intelligent, and insightful post by Fatfencer!
And, hey, you forgot - I am NOT part of the Kansas Division.
For all you know I might be from Tucson....

You are truly a legend in your own mind. You are the only person who can gliss the way you do and consistently ignore commonly held debate theory and practice.
In short, you are wrong again.

"Commonly held". eh? Translation: "Whatever I say they are, and whatever most helps me sound correct".
Very droll, buddy. And still no one is buying it.
t, you are wrong again.

Pot, calling Kettle black? Are you there? It's me, Pot.....
You call yourself a debater but are essentially COMPLETELY unaware of standard rhetoric convention or debate tactics. Get a book or pay me to teach you, but please oh please stop tellung me I'm wrong just because you dont understand and dont have the spine to go buy a book and read for yourself.
Your consistent misuse of fallacy argumentation should be everyone's first clue, but since most here never debated in HS or College, they just don't know or care.
They see a latin phrase and think.. "Oh god, Inq MUST be right. Surely I dont care about any substance. I can't be bothered. Latin trumps all.."
You know this and thus continue to take the low road.
If you arent an idiot, why do you argue like one? I expect better.

Heh. You are really hung up on credentials, aren't you?
As I recall, you are the only one claiming ( to this point with no proof offered ) to have been some sort of formal, competitive master debater. And the only one who seems to think it's really, crucially, critically important...

Nah. You're still just wrong. It's much more fun this way..and probably about as efficacious on you as any actual argument.

Dude, if all your self-trumpeted vast experience, knowledge and training amounts to is name-calling, threats, bluster and bwa-ha-haing whenever you ( and only you, so far as I can tell ) thinks that you've scored a "zinger"...well...no, I don't think I'm interested in drinking at that well.
If you arent an idiot, why do you argue like one?
Heh. You know, unlike some ( who shall remain nameless, but under whose skin you seem to get ) I am not really affected by this sort of tactic. I mean, maybe if I cared what you think of me...but I hate to break it to you, I just don't.
I care what some people think of me. You're not one. Sorry about that! ( Prohibited fifth smily here )
Anyway, you make some sense occasionally on a few topics, which keeps me reading your posts. But it's a pretty high signal-to-noise ratio. Other than that, mostly I'm amused at how much you amuse yourself... Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you!
