The Uhlmann knockoffs were sometimes not entirely compatible with the LPs (I believe some of the measurements were a touch off...deliberately if IIRC).
Uhlmann also got stupid and did not incorporate the best part of the LP design...the pointed screws to make the connection to the wire....they left them flat, so it's not as reliable.
If you're going to go with the common bayo design, go LP....hands down.
The Italian is a good and secure design....but they're not nearly as common as the LP bayo (for all that the Italian version came first) -
My specific question was why bayonet also being compatible with sabre was considered an advantage it had over two-prong. Are there no two-prong sabres in Sweden? -

Ok, one other reason to switch my sabres to LP-bayonet is the simple fact that nobody else in my club uses that on sabre, to bad that they can´t borrow from me anymore... Similar Threads -
