Express yourself...I really mean express yourself, not expose yourself...that's the cleavage thread! lol
Ok...since there are limited ways that we can express ourselves (and unlimited ways we can expose ourselves - lol)...how do you do it? Anything stenciled on your mask? Crazy socks? Cleavage....wait...wrong thread...wrong thread! lol. Yes, I'm at work...yes, I'm tired...yes, I'm bored. And yes, I have on the blue and white tie dye socks that I usually wear to fencing (when the blue camo socks are in the wash). So...now that yous know how I expos...express myself...what do you do?

Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics!
Well, as Lady Quindecim like to think I express myself by post -or not posting- my thoughts, feelings and ideas, blah blah, oh good-for-me-arn't-we-all-so-proud.
Fencing, I like to think I express myself with my point. (ha, ha... get it? yeah, thought so)
Outside of here, I try to be as inconspicuous as possible.
The preceding post brought to you by Rabid Monk (TM). Rabid Monk: informative, irreverent, interesting, random and downright odd posts, done with pride since 1983.
Oddly enough, even though plenty of people on fnet do that, I'm a rare strange one in my division....
I've only seen one person do that at training, and never in a competition. (Is there a rule against distracting your opponent with colourful socks?)
As for me, I don't own a pair of breeches yet (*fingers crossed for christmas*), but I do like wearing odd and/or colourful socks, so that's probably the path I'll end up taking too.
Going back to the OP, there is a sabreur at my club who has pointy teeth stencilled on her mask...
I do weird things with the tape on the end of my blades. Usually it's black and red striped, or red and grey, but always red and something else.

Rule #3 Remember, bad footwork makes coach cry.

I've done spirals before.
I mean, not really spirals. I don't know quite how to describe it, but it's something I learned from the way guys tape their hockey stick handles.
You tape it with one color, then roll up a second color and twist it up. I don't know. For hockey it helps with grip; fencing, it's just looks. Pretty cool, though.
