Why did they stop producing Asymmetrics?

    Hey all,

It seems to me that the Asymmetrics were great.
I see that alot of top international fencers (foilists at least) were wearing them.
It also appears that there is a pretty big demand for them, and people really praise them on the board.

Why did they stop making them?

Weren't there also some concerns that the design was contrinuting to ankle injuries....in spite of the designed snkle support elements?

It could've also been an economic issue...making a totally different shoe for each foot it expensive.

According to my 'sources', the fencer Adidas used to design them was knock-kneed, thus their tendency to push your knees out.

Because they were a long way removed from any of their standard products and over time they have made cost savings by merging their fencing line into other lines.

    They were good shoes though.
