    NAC and the USFA

I've heard the rumors but I can't seem to back up the information on the USFA website. So I'm asking you guys:

What's the format of the NAC's?

    What's the minimum rating?

I heard it's a modified Brazlian tournament with a minimum of a 'C' rating and all of this will be fenced in 1 day.

    Thanks.

You didn't say which NAC, I, II, III, Jr. Etc. Once you know that go to Forms on the USFA web site open up the NAC Entry Form and check the bottom for the Rules for NAC. Also it states, the format will be sent to you in the confirmation package. If you want to see the format for a Division I NAC from last season, check out the Athletes Handbook, Appendex A-4. The others types are not listed there and it can vary from tournament to tournament, but it is usually stable for each type of NAC for a season.

    I meant Div I.

Thanks Donald, I guess I'll have to wait to find out what kind of format when I register.

Do check out Athletes handbook. It will give you an idea. Brazilian hasn't been used in a while, but the new format is interesting. You do have to be at least a C and tt is a two day format with some fencers based on their point standing not having to go through the pools and the DE's on the first day. They get to show up on the second day. You might send an e-mail to info@usfencing.org to find out when the new Athletes handbook will be available. Then you don't have to wait.

Donald, I think you are incorrect. I asked this format question several weeks ago, and was told by Oiuyt that the format for Div I had reverted to a one day competition. If you check the daily schedule for the Columbus NAC, you will see that this is the case.
