Leon Paul Scoring Boxes Hey guys,
I am doing a marketing research on the Leon Paul scoring boxes; there are three types of scoring boxes available. If you own one, which one do you own. If you don't own one, which one would you prefer to buy, and why?

Array My club owns an old LP two-weapon club machine (which was actually quite popular with the students until we got our first Eigertek - now it's pretty much obsolete for anything other than epee) and my division owns two C90 3-weapon machines, which I maintain.
If I were looking to buy a new machine for club use then I might consider a C620 three-weapon club machine. From what I've seen they are similar to the old 2W club box, which means they're easy to set up (which is why the students liked our old 2W club machine).
Fro the division I would probably choose a CSG12 (and even for the club if I could afford it). Despite its flaws the SG-12st is pretty much the standard for national competitions in the US.
Of course if I had teh money I'd probably choose the CSG31. Unlike the CSG12 and CSG21 it has separate white and colored lights, which go a long way toward eliminating the problem some people have distinguishing between "white" off-target lights (which are actually yellow) and green on-target lights when the manufacturer uses bi-color LED's. -
Thank you,
your suggestions are extremely helpful. -

Array At my club we have both a mains powered C620 and a battery powered C620. We get have been happy with both, but most especially the battery powered strip. It is great to have for taking to tourneys, doing demos or just as an "emergency strip" that can be set up and taken down very quickly. Complete with the reel and carrying case package it is very portable and super easy to use. After seeing ours several clubs in the area have gotten them for their own use as they are great for clubs that have to set up and tear down their strips after practice or college/HS clubs that are often required to bring a strip or two to away events.
I am not a huge fan of the SG machines personally. I think the Favero boxes are a better value and last longer, especially on the remotes. We have been using Favero's at our clubs and in the division, both 01's and 05's, for a few years now and have been super happy with them and have had zero problems despite hard use.

-B Wow, I even managed to type Ziv twice. Thanks for noticing, otherwise it would have been a fairly confusing post... Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!
