That sounds like a scene right out of the could-it-ever-really-happen referee handbook.

Array Downunder did a great job. I did mime "let's review the video" on one hit, so I am curious about that action. I have the first three touches of the MF final match before the camera got knocked over, so I would really appreciate the rest of the video also, if anyone has it.
I the match with Galvan and Hino****o, I have the first four or five touches. There are numerous calls made regarding leaving the strip, and cardable offenses and the calls were "right on the money". I will try and acquire video of the final and send both to downunder for review.
As far as confiscating (or not conficating the weapon) the weapon, I could not see how this could possibly hurt me and quite possibly help me, so I said nothing. Also, I'm sorry I kind of ignored you (Downunder) when you were trying to get the match going again, but I was sure there was a fault with my opponants weapon even though it did not show up on the initial test.
The strip setup was pretty nice. The two negative things I noticed were that the strip was very slippery to me (wore new LP shoes) and the large lights had a visible delay over the scoring machine lights. I think the scoring machines must use LEDs and the extension (audience) lights must use incandescent. I don't think it affected any of the calls in foil with it's fairly large windows, but I could see it possibly affecting the very tight window in saber. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. I'm a foil fencer, and I can change, if I have to, I guess. -
