Limoges - Vet Worlds Best wishes to our friends who are en route to compete in Limoges. Your friends at home are rooting for you. Let us know how things are going. Your life is not a prize you get at the end of it. But I did get a champagne sabre for my birthday. -

Array Bob Cochrane (A2008) was at a pretty big epee tournament in Atlanta this past weekend, getting in a little practice before heading to Europe. I didn't get a chance to fence with with (aka get beaten by him) but he did give me some pointers (unfortunately, after the fact). It was nice to catch up. And thanks to the folks at Dunwoody for hosting a good (56 entry, maybe 20 As and Bs total) tournament. Now if they could just get some gasoline into the city... I know that caused some anxious moments for those traveling.
Good luck Bob and everyone else! -

Best wished to all the Vet fencers! Yes, he had surgery. He can also fence lefty there and still be competitive, since he is actually left-handed.

Best wished to all the Vet fencers! Yea, it looks like he's still fencing, and quite well it would seem. -------------------

Array As of September 1 Walt has been cleared by his Doc to fence righty again -
It's 5:27 P.M. in Limoges (I think) but no results are posted on the webpage. Anybody know anything? Some events must be over by now, I would think. -

Array Finals didn't start until after 5 local time, so posting results by 5:27 would have been REALLY fast.
V50MS:
1) Cassara ( IT )
2) Kas ( FR )
3rd and 4th were, I think, Pietrusinski of Canada and...Bonehill of Great Britain? I could be wrong there, I missed the semi-final bouts.
V50WE:
1) Someroja ( FIN )
2) Demaille ( FRA )
V60WF:
1) Lujan ( CAN )
2) Chernova ( RUS )

Thank you! I did not notice that finals were so late. Just saw the start time. How did US fencers do? -

Now that's a bummer. I mean, congratulations to Mr Hicha , but it's always a drag to meet your teammate so early in the competition!

WS60 tomorrow, MS60 Saturday and WS50 Sunday, Trojan MD. Originally Posted by Mr.MightyMouse Score? Cassara-Hicha? 10-5, I think. Pretty impressive fencer, that Italian. He has a flunge that somewhat resembles Keeth Smart's in it's flat, straight trajectory, if not quite it's speed and distance.
The Italian sabre fencers had a good day overall against the US especially.
