International Training Camp – “Sabre on Ice and Fire” and Viking Cup 2009
Icelandic Fencing Federation would like to invite you to the Viking Cup our WC satellite saber tournament that will be held in Reykjavik on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of June.
On 2nd of June the International Charity Fund “For Future of Fencing”, the Icelandic Fencing Federation and the Nordic Sabre Center are organizing an International Training Camp – “Sabre on Ice and Fire”. More than 20 fencers from 4 continents will be invited by the “For Future of Fencing” (the National Fencing Federation will receive the invitation). Special guest for these events will be the legend of saber fencing and the Patron of the Project – “Sabre on Ice and Fire” Mr. Stanislav Pozdniakov.
The Icelandic Fencing Federation can accept a few more fencers to the training camp but they will have to travel at their own expense. If you need help with the accommodation please let us know.
There is no additional fee for participating in the training camp.
Please let us know ASAP how many fencers are coming because there are a lot of fencers from abroad willing to participate at the International Training Camp and we may have to limit entry to the training camp.
I am waiting for more details from the new president of the “For Future of Fencing”, Mr. Vitaliy Logvin. I will let you know the details as soon as I can!
