    Permanent Fencing Piste

    Dear all

Thank you very much to all the people who answered my query about installing a piste at home. Your advice was really sound. We've no come to the conclusion that it's probably better to ship in a permanent piste from abroad, rather than try to reinvent the wheel!

We are looking at pistes made in Europe (we've not had good feedback about the china made pistes) and are considering permanent pistes from Uhlmann, Allstar, FWF, Negrini and Blue Gauntlet. I really like the texture of the Negrini piste (from the picture anyway!) - it look a bit like a bamboo basket pattern. We may also be able to buy a piste manufactured by the Turkish company that did the olympic pistes (beijing), maybe even with one of the olympic colour schemes. However, we did hear from a few people that the olympic pistes were a bit slippery. has anyone else heard this?

If anyone has tried any of these pistes, I'd really appreciate it if you would let me know what your experience was.

    Many thanks!

The BG piste is made in China. They aren't bad, but be sure you get one that is manufactured correctly; they have some around that are not, and they don't lay out straight (they are known as "banana strips").

I don't know what changes the Turkish strips have been through, especially lately. The PBT strips are from the Turkish supplier. For permanent use, they are good strips, and not slippery. I have no experience with Uhlmann, FWF or Negrini strips. Allstar would be the same as Uhlmann.
