Array I can get it for you. Do you want it streaming (like YouTube) or in a particular file format? -

Array I'm looking for copies of the Olympic coverage. Something I can put in a DVD player. Does anyone have some? I found "capturing" it live, was pretty poor quality and had no sound. Does anyone have anything better? Beer, it's whats for dinner! ~ a young snowboarding Canadian The meek don't want it! ~ sticker on a rock band's guitar -
Post them to youtube, I swear I have seen like all the decent fencing videos on there.
Well, at least the foil ones. (\ /)

Array You just need a plugin for Firefox or some other flashplayer, but being a member doesn't matter.
For most fencing clips, no one owns them (or at least they don't make a fuss if they do), so they can sit on Youtube fine. With the Olympics, there might be a bit of a problem due to the NBC copyright. Youtube's been cracking down recently, so it's anyone's guess as to how long they would stay up. -

Array That's why I want to download on a CD to play on a regular DVD player. I wasn't seeing any means of downloading. Beer, it's whats for dinner! ~ a young snowboarding Canadian The meek don't want it! ~ sticker on a rock band's guitar -

First I agree with Oso, and now you. You must both be horrified... Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

You can download a free version of "Any Video Converter". It has a YouTube capture program: just paste the URL of the segment you want and download the file in .flv format. After that you can convert it into something playable mpeg, avi wmv etc...
It is also possible to join several small segments in to a longer piece. http://www.any-video-converter.com/p...or_video_free/ "a braggart, a rogue, a villaine that fights by the book of arithmatick. Why the dev'l came you betweene us?.." -

Screw NBC. I'm more than willing to screw NBC (I'm kind of an anti-capitalist, and with good reason), but NBC will screw my account if they catch me trying to upload Olympic videos yet again.
But I uploaded it anyway with inconspicuous titles. There's still a chance it'll be caught so try to view or download the videos soon.

If anyone is still unfamiliar with the YouTube high quality feature, make sure you find it and enable it (link is below the right-hand corner of the video).

But hey, thanks a lot! -

Array Yeah, I thought it would be available already. I guess it takes a while to encode it in high quality. Within an hour or so I expect it to be there and it'll be much more watchable. -
Thanks. I'm at work now so I'll get back to you later tonight if the videos have been removed -

Array Something is weird about the high quality option, so right now I have to force it by adding &fmt=18 to the URL.
part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTEomHKES0A&fmt=18
part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK6K6DEgTQQ&fmt=18
Let me know if that works. You should be able to read the names and score much more easily. -
I downloaded the HD versions, thanks a lot, even though they're not that...HD haha -
