Given the massive influxes common both at the deadline and frequently slightly after, judging based on a preliminary list seems foolish in the extreme.

This NAC (NAC A) is more likely to be a fencer's first NAC than any other, and as such, they may not realize just how common that influx of entries is.

Agreed that it's foolish, but when you haven't done it before, there really isn't a good way to know what to expect when you're registering two months out.
