Array I would totally go to this, except for the fact that a plane ticket from DC to IL is a bit much for this kinda thing for me... "Sir, didn't I parry"
"You didn't take advantage of his blade enough, so no."
(I guess i should have romanced it a bit more..." -

Array MSU is sending some of our travel coaches, and maybe a student or two. I'll be excited to hear what they learn. The time which we have at our disposal every day is elastic; the passions that we feel expand it, those that we inspire contract it; and habit fills up what remains.

Array MdA:
This is a perfect opportunity to sit down, write down all of this stuff in a presentable package, and make a little extra money selling it. You might teach twenty coaches at (what ever price) that weekend, but reach a hundred others at $10 a manual.

MdA was posting an announcement about it (presumably) to raise awareness.

Array Since Laurie isn't posting on the web, and I don't have a way to contact him and I know MdA talks to him frequently enough, I assumed the information would, you know, sort of drift over that way if I posted it here.
I also assumed the radical idea of putting a clinic down on paper might actually be better received if it came from MdA than some unknown coach in VA.

Allen Evans This is an excellent idea. As pointed out in the previous post, Coach Schiller is hosting, so I will pass it on to him by email.
However, from my experience, the best way of actually accomplishing this task is to have one of the attending coaches produce the manual. This is an excellent project for a young college coach and future member of the USFCA college club committee.
I am sure that Coach Schiller would be willing to review drafts and revisions of such a manual, if it were produced after the clinic. After all, he is a university professor and that is what he does.
This might actually be an excellent start on a Fencing Master thesis for someone.
I am sure that the USFCA would cover the cost of printing and distribution and would post in the library on the new website. -
