Wow. Mango, don't NOBODY do crazy like you do crazy!
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

The ride to airport was grueling. Her weapons below, armed only with her wit, Mythos donned a flirtacious spirit to disguise her desire to slash at her enemies. That would soon be eliminated for when she donned her mask, her flirtation subsides, exposing her ravenous temperment. For when she is ready to take on the world, where no man could possibly evade her charm or her will.

For the journey, she has employed her trusty servant Zachrias, whom shall be forever in her debt. for one day, a long time ago, Mythos saved Zachrias from an evil band of foilists, as he cowardly hid below her sheets. An epeeist at heart, Mythos sent each foilist home, each with a pierce in the big toe. "Come one, come all... I shall take them all on. With no right of way to speak of, they shall all be gone. "

But the pressure is on now, it will be 12 hours of flight from the kingdom to the land of Bob. During which she will be disarmed and unmasked.... unarmed to the world. A danger where a small pack of sabreists continue to hunt her, and she is armed only with her wit and charm.

Well prepared for the journey, Mythos must now get through the grueling security of the Detinu Airport. For 12 grueling hours, Mythos will be without the comfort of a weapon, especially with the off chance that the airlines would lose such precious cargo.

The weapons were checked at the gate, a wry smile on a displeasured face looked at the attendent as she responded "Sporting Goods".

A glance at the bag, and once again at Mythos made her nervous. What could be in this bag that made this charming woman cringe, the attendant wondered. Weaponry of some sort? Wires and springs that could be attached to a box? The attendant wondered....

Mythos did not want to send her precious cargo by freight... but to put such a weapon on an aircraft in the hands of a seasoned epeeist could spell disaster.

In the meantime, the disgruntled sabrists found a clue. A lone foilist with no big toe. "We had her surrounded...." the foilist quipped. "we attacked, over and over again, but she did not recognize our right of way". "It was horrible!!", the foilist whailed, "One foil fencer after another chased her until none could walk, thier knees and toes bruised in agony." After an hour of insestuous agony listening to the foilists pain, one sabreist known as Count Riposte decided to put him out of his misery, giving him one head cut followed by a chest cut. "We shall find her", Riposte exclaimed, "if only to show her the right of our way".

Boarding the plane, 135711 took her seat. She stowed her weapons under the seat and buckled her seat belt. Unbeknown to the crew, 135711 had strapped to her back a flat cloth storage bag. After about 15 minutes she slipped the bag off and placed it discretely onto her lap, and checked its contents. A small plastic pistol, 9mm, unloaded. Ammunition was located in a cold cream jar in her carry-on. She went into the ladies room with the cold cream and loaded the gun.

The passengers figured out what dreadfoil was doing, captured him then flinged him out the emergency exit @20,000 feet.

The flight having landed successfully in the land of Bob, Mythos wondered where one can find a place to practice. A point in line would have no effect to a sabreist, she thought. But the inept sabreists do recognize right of way, which could be to her advantage. She looked at her fencing equipment and decided that foil would be the proper compromise between epee and sabre. It would be a while before the count figured out where she was.

In the meantime, the pack of sabreists were stuck at the airport. "It looks like a weapon", the attendant said sternly. The sabrists demanded, and griped... "It's just sporting equipment!!!!" Surrounded by security, the sabreists dropped thier weapons and were subjected to a full day's detention and questioning. They still had yet to figure out which way Mythos went.

"I shall make her pay for this..." as the count was subjected to a body search, "I shall make her pay....."

Dreadfoil drifted pleasantly through the clouds and eventually landed on the roof of a wheat silo in Indiana. He scurried down to the ground and checked his legs. "i'm okay" he fumed to himself, but he was ticked off. They ejected a sky marshall. The words of the count ringing in his ears "i will make her pay for this". unsure of his meaning, Dreadfoil determined to get to the bottom of this. Mythos was on an errand, a holy mission if you will, and was being thwarted by a bunch of maniacs without a soul. What should she do? She settled back in the plane and ate the sandwich offered to her by the steward. Japan was, as usual, a fantastic experience. She spent 5 days visiting various temples, some from the 13th century, and met many people who shared their experiences of their lifetimes. Riding along the highway in the tiny little bus with the lace dollies, she spotted Mt. Fuji in the distance. The air was clear, she was lucky to see it. But, by now, she realized with some regret, moving on was really the best idea. She had everything already figured out, and it would be simple to accomplish. She landed in the airport she had become familiar with so long ago.....'ahhhh, yes, the smell of mold' she loved this smell of mold, it was instantly recognizable. Without too much trouble, she got into the taxi and said "let's go to the quarter first, I want to see the river and have some oysters". "Welcome home" said the driver. "you musta been clear outta your mind to ever leave this place. don't you leave it again, you know what they say: once you drink that river water, you can't go." They drove into the quarter and she decided to try to crash into brennans without a reservation. "please, I have to have at least one mimosa" The host smiled, and seated her in the courtyard. He held onto her bag for her. She relaxed at the table, sipping on a mimosa, when she heard someone yell "mythos.....mythos.....is that you cher? oh my god, you look totally moldy, where have you been, oh my god, francois, it's mythos" they asked her to join them at their table. Mythos was so happy to see their familar faces, it didn't matter if they wrecked the french language.
