Question Next USFCA Coaching Clinic in San Antonio?

We completed our first Coaching Education and Training Clinic in San Antonio this past weekend.

It was an Epee Moniteur/Instructor Level Clinic. We would like to schedule another clinic for the middle of the fencing season somewhere. We would like to offer a Foil Moniteur/instructor clinic.

Our goal is to finish the season with a clinic in May (1-3) or early June (5-7) 2009 where we will offer the practical examination to Prevot and Master candidates.

If you were going to attend a USFCA Coaching Clinic in San Antonio (South Region), what dates would work best for you?

For those of us with teens/children, it is impossible to do it during Holidays or Spring Break.

I would be interested in this. Im hoping to be in the position to test for prevot around the middle of next year.

Its always a big help for me to have plenty of notice before a clinic or tournament. That way I can schedule vacation/personal leave time for it, otherwise it difficult to get away from work. I wish everyone would advertise their clinics/tournaments at least a half year ahead. For working adults I think this is important, sometime there just isnt enough travel time in the weekend. And San Antonio would require extra travel time and planning for me =)

The USFCA is trying to schedule these clinics well in advance so coaches can plan. This forum also gives us a chance to get your input so we can plan dates that are right for coaches.

There is some down time during the season for coaches...and it is different for the different age categories and Divisions.

Please let me know if there are other dates that fit your schedules....even if they are for different regions. I can forward your preferences on to the USFCA Vice Presidents in your region.

If there are experienced coaches that would like to help me with the presentations at these clinics. Please contact me by PM.

If there is a famous coach that you would like to teach at these clinics...post their names here. If we get enough interest...I will contact them and try to get them for the clinics.
