| Clubs near Alexandria, VA with épée open bouting
I'm heading down to Alexandria, VA (just south of DC) on business next week. I'd like to get some épée bouting in if I can.
Are there any clubs in the area with mid-week open bouting? Of course, I'll have to factor in the wonderful DC rush hour.

| The "Olde Town Fencing Gang" (at http://www.mindspring.com/~escrimeuse/) usually has epee fencing on Monday and Wedns nights. It's a very relaxed club with a liberal drop in policy.

Allen Evans | If you're in Alexandria, I would second going to Old Towne.
Of course, you're welcome to check out DCFC--we have epee fencing Monday-Thursday evenings from about 7:30 to 9:30. The commute is bad, but the fencing is good.

R- | Tuesdays and Thursdays were traditionally the best nights for epee, and in some ways they still are. The fact is, epee has taken over all the competitive nights from Monday to Thursday.

| Chevy Chase Fencing Club
You're welcome to visit Chevy Chase Fencing Club. Tuesdays and Thursdays are best for epee. We're located in DC at Chevy Chase Circle on Connecticut Avenue. Shouldn't be too difficult to reach, even during rush hour. Practice is 7:30-9:00pm. | |

| Thanks for all the advice and information. I'll see how things go on Monday, but, since it's a technical training seminar, I shouldn't get held up in the evenings. I'll let you know what's happening then.
It's always great to find new places and people where you can be beaten up on the strip.
