I'm not sure if 'wins' is the right word...

I knew of someone who flew from LA to SF for lessons... Falling out at LAIFC or something... They might still be doing it. Would be nice to have that kind of funding, huh...

As for me, used to be driven/bus 6 miles.
Then it was bus 4 miles - or sometimes walk maybe a thousand feet...
Then bike 1.5 miles
Then bike 2.5 miles
Now it looks like it will be bike 3 miles.

I'm not convinced that Adler drives 901+ miles, which is, after all the question being asked.

I take the commuter train and it takes me about 50 mins from my door to the practice hall.

Its worth every minute of it.

When I was your age

When I was your age, I walked through 40 miles of snow to get to my club.

...uphill.

... ...both ways.

... ... ...and I couldn't afford shoes.

Really, though, I am about a half hour drive from my club. It's a bit of a hike, but that's my own fault for deciding to settle down in the sticks.

I live in Irmo, SC and every Wednesday I drive to Augusta, GA (~1:15 there, ~1:00 back) to fence and take my lesson. It's 80 miles (mostly interstate) each way.
