Is it just me or is it odd that there are only 14 entries for Div2 and 3 Men's Epee?

People tend to procrastinate about entering, making travel arrangements, etc. Because of this, I think it is really not in the best interests of the USFA financially that THS gives back all of the rooms a month before the event. If the USFA and THS want to get the optimum amount of rooms booked through THS, the deadline to return rooms to hotels should to be closer to the actual event.

Booking early has its rewards though, I got my room reseved practically on top of the venue.

If hundreds more fencers register in the next 10 business days, how does that help the USFA determine the correct number of refs to have available? Does Christine simply go by last year's numbers?

As a cost-cutting measure referees will be conscripted on site.

    No online registration

Personally, I was foolish and waited for the August on-line registration....

I just checked the FOC website and the availability form has not been updated for the new season. Instead, is there a readily available list of which individuals should be contacted to be hired for each event?

    Updated.

For reference, the Domestic Committee Representative* for each tournament is as follows:

    NAC A - Everson
NAC B - Frye (delegated to Dilworth)
    NAC C - Oliver
    NAC D - Dakova
    JOs - Dakova
    NAC E - Frye
    NAC F - Oliver
    SN - Everson

Hopefully other bits of the website will be updated today or tomorrow.

    -B

    * Hiring for each tournament is handed by the associated Domestic Committee Representative. Who may or may not be one of the Head Referees.

So what email address do I use to see if Sharon wants to hire me for Columbus?

There are email links to the DCRs on the Tournament Calendar page (what Guymelef quoted from).

Possibly worth noting here that Sharon's email address is missing the S at the end on that page.

There is no official referee tournament at NAC A. As officials are released and strips are opened to them to use they may get together and fence. It is not a US Fencing Association tournament.
