What do you expect from your club?

We are in the process of forming a local fencing club. The goal is not to make money, but to support local fencing. We want to keep membership costs low as this is not a affluent community. Fees will be directly related to services provided.

When you join a club, what sort of amenities do you expect?

1. A safe place for my child (even though he is legally an adult) to fence.
2. Best instruction possible.
3. Reasonable access to the club and instructor.
4. Some sort of leadership be it from a coach or BOD.

1. starter equiptment for all the noobs (masks, plastron, lame, weapons ect.)
2. responseable coach
3. suitiable place to train.

1. Well lit
2. Clean
3. Easy to find and get in and out of; can I get my bag to the salle without killing myself on narrow stairs
4. Social, are the people friendly or do I get the feeling I'm intruding on a private club of cliques.
5. Good instruction
6. Someone to play with; not too many sabre people around here so I'm not going to drive an hour to an hour and a half for the possiblity that another sabre MAY show-up.
