    FIE season?

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out when a FIE season starts. When does a license start?

Competitvely it just ended....in Olympic years, the Games double as the world champs, IIRC.

    Beyond that....Mo??? She'd probably know.
Need fencing equipment? See me at H.O.M. Fencing Supply

Going to your first tournament? Read "Choose yer weapon, Laddie (or: Dude, where's my foil?)"

The first "FIE competition" for the 2008/2009 season is Golden Gate Cup in Kiev (UKR) on 6th of September.

Could be that the official "start date" for the license is 080901, but I can't find it stated anywhere. (Not saying it's not there, but you'll have to look for yourself...)
    Fencing is my only PvP.

That's odd, considering the FIE lists the Golden Gate Cup as the first FIE comp of the season...
    Fencing is my only PvP.

I think the Cadet events start in September, the Junior events in late October and November.
    Senior events aren't until January.
Nothing is posted as of yet on the FIE Website.
The first cadet meets at least in Saber are starting very soon.

The emails to the eligibles for the Cadet event in Konin went out some time ago and, I think, the deadline was... today?
