| I am bemused by the fact that a night after the #7 U.S. women upset the #2 Polish team, which then lost its next round bout and had to fence to get 7th place, the #7 U.S. men upset the #2 Hungarian team, which has now lost and will have to fence to try to get 7th place. I'm hoping that the parallels continue into the medal round.
Go USA!!!

| Thanx a lot.
Pozdniakov is my all time favourite saber fencer;
I am not very sure how to root against him, given this is his last tournament.
Bronze and Gold medal matches will be easy, this one excruciating.
Any one else apprehensive about the directors:
Ref: JIANG Yefei
Ref: KAPOSVARI Zsolt
Ref: SACH David
2nd one has been terrific,
Jiang I do not recall,
and Sach IMHO has left a bit to be desired?

| Did you hear that dialog at the replay just now: "Slow motion, yes, but the *real* motion -- attaque, contre-attaque." |
