| I remember seeing her in 2000 at the Summer Nationals in Austin. I was amazed by her abilities at that age (Y12?). I mentioned to her parents that I thought she was something special. And she is.

Emily Cross takes off running.
That's why she's more badass than everyone you know. |

| Half asians are the best (nothing to do, of course, with the fact that I'm one )
But seriously, half asians are, for the most part, beautiful. |

| Which kinda begs the question....is it time for Erin to retire? She did not perform overly well in the team matches...blowing a 14 point lead being the worst example, followed by only scoring twice in three bouts in the final.
If she's earned her spot, fine & dandy....no one should deny her, and she HAS been successful internationally.
BUT...if the goal for the team is to win, you can't accept that kind of performance.
For allI know she's going to retire after the Games anyway...this is her 3rd,so she might beready to get a regular life. |

| I think she is a delightful, intelligent, wonderful young woman who is just a class act.
She has been well brought up and her parents should be proud. (which I know they are.)

| Whenever I'm at an event where I know she'll be fencing, I always make time to watch her. She really is a pleasure to watch. |

-P | And I, on the otherhand, had a fruit smoothie for breakfast.
She may not be on the market, but it is not like I would have a chance anyway... I can admire in private =D

| EC = Extremely Classy? I had the pleasure of reffing EC and Ms. Prescod in the semis in Atlanta. Beautiful clean fencing all-around. Ms. Prescod won 11-10 in the overtime minute on the tightest call I had to make the entire bout: attack, counter. EC takes off her mask looks at me and with a slight questioning look said, "Really?" I just nodded with a "Yep". She shrugged, smiled and saluted. Mind you I'm pretty damn sure it was the correct call but I've seen epic blow-ups for much lower stakes and on much easier calls. The girl is a class act.
