Nike Ballestra Order Problems Hey, so you might be sick of Ballestra news by this point but I thought I'd share the experience I just had, because it's less about the Ballestra and more about the horrible experience I'm having with Nike.
I placed an order for two pairs (in different sizes) of the Ballestra on Thursday night, and last night while around 1:15 i got an email saying that both pairs had shipped. Then, this morning at 7:50 ish, I got an email saying that one of the things I ordered was not available and could not be Backordered (after it had supposedly shipped).
I then went on the Nike website and went to the same color Ballestra and low and behold! it is in stock in that size. So I called Nike (I'm on the phone with them now) and according to the customer service rep, it is listed as in stock by the website because they only update it once a day (actually, the first rep told me that they haven't been greyed out because there is an imaginary "one pair left" that doesn't really exist even though it is listed)
My question is, what happened to my shoes?
From checking them pretty often over the past few days, I am under the impression that they have been in stock in that size since I ordered them, at least until a day or two ago. So even if they sold out within the last 24 hours (and hence the website hasn't updated itself), shouldn't the pair I ordered have been safe from sale? Were they sold/shipped to another person?
Also, why tell me two pairs of shoes have shipped if only one has? The software company where I work manages all shipments in a program written in Microsoft Access and we can still check off what items we are shipping and which ones we can't. (According to the Nike rep, they are unable to do that)
gah! I am so dissatisfied with this whole system. So, as a note, if you were thinking of buying the Ballestras in size 5 in blue they don't really exist.
Sorry for the long post; I'm just frustrated with the experience I've had. I have to go to the lab now, so it's time for me to stop typing and go get ready. -
me, too! Same story happened to me. (older post). I have received the one pair and I do love them. -
same thing happened to me.. I ordered 2 pair in different sizes, size 5 and 5.5 for my daughters.. ordered on Wednesday, got the email confirmation and called yesterday and the cust serv person said "yes, they are yours they will ship on monday the 18th of aug... well I got the email this morning saying that they were sold out, no back order... I called they said "sold out, no back order list not going to make any more blah blah blah..."
I called back and said I'll take any color what ever there is as long as it fits a womens 6.5...... they said a 4.5 and they have 1 pair left in inventory in the obsidian which is the blue.. grab them, they gave me 20% off for my trouble PLUS free overnight delivery going out on monday 18th should have them on the 19th... we'll see.. so far I'm not going to hold my breath.. seems that a few peeps have actually received them.. I think that they were overwhelmed and didn't anticipate that they would be as popular as they are.. maybe because we are wanting something new and different from the Addias, Viktoria's etc...
We have heard all the hype and want a pair of their shoes.. my personal opinion is that they will continue to make these shoes, they are going to have a hard time keeping up with the demand.. they can't kill this kind of cash cow...At least I hope they don't...
