Nike Ballestra The online Nike store seems to be sold out of 3/4 styles in sizes over 10 (I refuse to wear pink/black). Any idea when they will restock? Or where else they are available? -

Array There's a Nike shoe thread in the armoury. And nobody seems to know about restocking, and so far only Nike is selling them. "When Fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and bearing a cross." -
I saw the thread but it was just a link directing me to the Nike site (didn't work in fact). Ah, that's a shame no word on restocking because I want to buy a pair. -

Array I bought the pink black because it's $100+ cheaper than not. I paid $138 after taxes and shipping and what-not. -
Edew will LOVE Triplette They have a pink heavy duty lame to go with those shoes. Maybe you could ask BEBE for a sponsorship.
I'm the cheapest SOB here....but never will I stoop to pink... you could ask F-Post to redo your DEW letters in Pink...tee hee.

One of my club's assistant coaches called the other day while there were still sizes available to ask Nike about sizing, and about availability. The Nike person checked the computer and told the coach that there was "no reordering date listed", and according to this Nike person, it implied to them that they wouldn't be making more shoes.
Now, while I and our coaches and a couple of our fencers managed to get some (came in this morning, in fact), I very much hope that nike will see the huge interest in their shoes, and actually go ahead and create some supply to meet the demand! -

As far as I know, Nike will not be producing the shoes. They had to make shoes for all sports as part of the Olympic contract, but there are no plans to mass produce the shoes at this time, as the market is too small. If Craig has more up to date info, please post. -

Array Got them today. Will wear them and see how they do. First impression is that there's more work to be done. -
Ok, fine.....I'll amend my previous usage. No, fencing isn't "huge". Fine. Please revise it to read however pleases your eye as meaning that if I made a bunch of shoes and they all sell out at full price within a couple of days, I'm gonna think, 'Hmm, maybe I could sell these people MORE shoes'. Do I think they're gonna do this? Not really, but I sure hope they do, because I'm liking the pairs I got, and I want my athletes to be able to get some shoes too.. -

Array I just asked Craig last night about the Nikes:
"Just called my guy. He told the ops people to go ahead and make 500/month for the next few months. He doesn't know if they did that, but $160 will be the perm price."
So everyone calm down. -
nike i ordered 2 pair on wednesday in black/pink size 5 and 5.5 for my daughters.. they confirmed my order same day.. I called yesterday and they said that yes, i have the shoes and life is grand... then i get an email today saying that no they are NOT available and they are NOT going to be making any more.. I said to them why kill the cash cow? she called (supposedly) the special orders department and said that they have no future plans for any other shipments on these shoes, there are no back orders allowed because no future shipments, DONE, PERIOD, END OF REPORT.. I'd like to know how you got them for $60 lower than retail when they are not wholesale'ing these out? I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick -

Array You get 20% off the price if you use the code "BACKTOSPORT" 160 - (20% X 160) = 128 plus shipping and tax.
I don't know exactly where you're getting your facts, but 138 isn't 60 lower than 160.
I'd also like to point out that large corporations aren't exactly the paradigm of quick communication between sections. When I called the rep told me they don't have any information about whether or not the shoes are still produced, how many there will be, or whether more will be made. Time makes all things clear.
