Saw this picture on the fencing.net homepage and thought it was oddly appropriate for this thread.

I mean....if I understand correctly, one of the two fencers just lost the match, but you'd think they were both winners from the body language.

I'm trying to think of another sport where something like this could happen. I guess boxing/mma-type events that go to a decision occasionally have both fighters go up expecting a win, but most other sports have it pretty clear who won. When swimmers or runners finish, for example, they either saw who won, or look up to the clock before cheering.
