for those who don't know, she's 50 years old, gold medalist in the '84 games (for china then), and ranked 107th right now. she's doing pretty darn well. | Are there any Chinese readers who watched Luan's victory over Boubakri who could provide a translation of the red-and-gold banner that she showed to the crowd several times after she won? |

| Anywhere other than NBC where I can see Luan JuJie. I can't believe CBC isn't filming it!

| Damn... just checked the TV. French CBC has boxing & English CBC is interviewing swimmers... I wanted to watch. Hopefully she'll make it to the top 16 & I can see her early in the am.

| Emily seems to be having a lot of trouble getting a light on here. Even for women's foil, this bout seems to have very little right of way. |

| As a women's foilist, I never understood why people make fun of the weapon so much.
...sadly, now I think I'm starting to understand it. Some of these bouts have had disastrous levels of inactivity :| |

I'm not real confident that she'll get far... but who knows.
I wanted to smack her for letting herself get run off the strip.
