| For some reason I really like the shot of Henry Kissinger watching epee.

| Great shots, thanks.
However, has anyone else noticed how generally ugly the warmup suits the athletes have been wearing to the medal stand are?
Starting with the sabre womens red and white outfits, I thought they looked cheap and ugly. And Tagliariol's ugly front cargo pocket jacket? Hideous.

| I thought they looked alot like old russian warmups personally.
And with something like 80% of your population living on the border we've known about the invasion for quite some time..

| I guess we can expect World-War-II-aviator-inspired fashions from Milan this year.

You know what it says on the label? 'Made in China.'

As for the Canadian uniforms for Beijing, unfortunately they weren't designed by Roots but by the Hudson's Bay Company. Hopefully they will go back to Roots for Vancouver. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4MpkUL51ao |

| Nice, Serge.
BTW, there are some more shots of top fencers doing lunges where the front foot is not skimming the ground and the lower leg is out almost horizontally...as opposed to that perfect lunge being described and recommended in another thread...

Have we no shame???

| There will be two days and three events worth of "shot of the day" photos being uploaded in the morning, later in the day for those of you in Europe and the Americas.
I hope this isn't too disappointing for everyone: We've decided to wait to do full galleries until we return from Beijing after the 18th. It's simply too much work to get full galleries processed and uploaded and still be able to take the photos we need to capture. We've already taken more than 15,000 images here, so you can imagine it's a lot to process.
But we will do the "shot of the day" images. Later, we will also offer some kind of a slide show and other ways for everyone to view a "documentary" of still images from the games. |

Notice how the story says the designer came from Roots? I thought that HBC had contracted Roots out to provide the clothing. I guess not.
This is more like what the athletes have been wearing: http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/ondemand/...eoId=822935034
