Fencing on TV, not ours though!

If you get the Canadian Broadcasting CO, their schedule is on:

    http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/schedule/daily/2008/08/08/

They are broadcasting women's saber on Friday.

Thanks for the post, I'll be sure to catch it.

While looking about CBC's website I found Sherraine's blog: http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/blog/athl...rraine_schalm/

I have just been informed that CBCtelevision will also be offering daily highlight coverage of fencing during a half-hour segment. Apparently CBC has made no announcement about this so I have no knowledge at this time of the schedule. I'll post once I have further info.

Yeah. They'll be showing fencing on Live Video. I'm so excited!

They're definitely going to show highlights of fencing on television but the events will be shown on Live Video on the website. It's good for those who have to work and may miss it. Not sure if they will leave it up for a while on the website though. Anyone want to confirm this?

For American viewers, while it is not going to be on TV, fencing (and other non-prime time popularity sports) will be streamed for web viewing by http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/. Live, if you're willing to watch in the middle of the night.

I heard a report that the whatever is streamed live online will also be available for rewatching later (when one might actually be awake) through the video center. Based on a cursory scan, it looks like that they've got the full video of all six women's soccer and eight men's soccer prelim matches already played up for viewing.

Just in case it's useful information for anyone, the full-replays (as opposed to highlights) seem to be classified as "Long-form rewinds" in the drop box.

Dang: they are showing the opening ceremonies live at this time but it won't play for me. Guess we southerners (relatively) will have to watch on NBCOlympics as detailed elsewhere.

As if we needed another reason to be happy to be Canadians! Seriously, I can't believe you guys (down south) won't be able to see it live. Especially women's sabre. You're welcome to all come to my house to watch.

I think it's funny how the CBC ended up being stuffed in a stairwell. Pretty funny seeing Peter Mansbridge showing us where they put them. Curse Harper!
