Assuming Jason wins his L64, bout he and Keeth run into each other in the L32. Everyone else (American) appears to have decent separation from countrymates.

In a particularly clever move, the US Men's Epee squad selected a devastatingly effective strategy to avoid eliminating each other during the Olympic games.

From the looks of the draw, the ME tableaux is going to be a real blood bath.
    Take your time. Read carefully.

Yea, but... its Epee... who cares?
That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again.

Cliff Notes on the WS draw:

SAda keeps her number 1 slot in the randomization, but MAriel drops to #6. This puts her in Becca's side of the draw, instead. As Craig notes in his podcast, this sets up the numerical possibility for a US sweep...but that's a long ways down the pike.

It's hard to believe, but I think the side of the draw with the reigning Olympic Champion and the past three World Champions may slightly be the easier side.

    Slightly.

Sada has inherited some strong fencers in her path: Marzocca/Kharlan is a tough 16, and the winner of Diatchenko/Socha is no gimme, either. If Sada prevails, she will likely fence Tan Xue or Velikaia in the 4.

Of course, it's the Olympics, and nothing is easy. Becca faces Touya in the 16, and likely Perrus in the 8. And then there's Mariel attempting to repeat. She's got to get past Jozwiak in the 16, which can be tough if Bogna is having a good day. Then, she's got to slip past either Netchaeva or Bao to get to the 4.

As much as I hate to see Americans have to fence each other at the top levels of the game, it would be awesome if all three have good days tomorrow.

Would it be too much to ask Siobhán to take out Netchaeva?

Oh not at all, but should she take that scalp she'd very much fancy her chances at taking a more prized curly haired one i'm afraid.

The links to the tableaus in the OP are very useful to find the piste-color and times.

For the same reason the ancient one did so.
