The question was hardly clear, and it is a common misconception for very new fencers that you cannot get a point without right of way.

Even in the second post, he didn't mention that the other fencer hits.



I'm not sure that this is a "worthy" discussion; the question has been answered fairly thoroughly. However, if our answers are as cryptic to him as his questions are to us, he's got a challenge ahead of him...
