| Machine Translation Goodness Transcriptions are really funny things. The entire transcription attempt for the latest fencing.net interview is too long to post here, so you can view the full one at: http://blog.fencing.net/problems-wit...criptions/111/
A sample tidbit:
"I might be a day in a bad playing every end on a young actor in out after they’ll do nobody go as well at work at eight at the combination of Bolivian people that often they figured it out at how does that outdraw work for determining the table her in her letter "

| I dearly hope that computer translations do not improve, otherwise I will be out a career before I even start...

| My dad had a laptop 8 or so years ago with that kind of software on it. It was good for a laugh, but quite ineffective. |

My "automatic" transcription is to upload the mp3 to a server where my transcriber picks it up, and then they email me a doc a few days later with the transcription and a bill.

Craig | nah what i'm referring to is done by a team of AI writers and is done automatically via a translation program.
but i don't think its perfect translation, its meant to pull out content and context, not to create a transcript. its meant to run your podcasts through it to make them searchable for content. like, you could run all the fdn podcasts through it and it would index them and if someone searched for, say, joppich, it would pull back all episodes in which he was mentioned. |
