    Great. I just started my comic's Beijing story arc and now I have to redo it. Oh well. That's the beauty of webcomics...always editable!

    I'd say the athletes who don't have visor masks and are 2 weeks from the games have more to complain about...

    Baldini has been number one for two years but lost to Joppich in the last two world finals. "Yes, he's starting to be a problem," Baldini joked in an interview with Reuters. "Peter is ... and always ready for the big match, but also a good man outside the piste."

    Really made me laugh, can't wait to see that big match.

    Following these investigations, the FIE Executive Committee was
    consulted and it decided to apply the decision taken during the 2007
    Congress in Madrid (ESP) , starting from March 15, 2008 :

    The use of wireless apparatus and masks with transparent visors are
    compulsory in the following women’s and men’s foil competitions:
    - Individual events of the Grand Prix competitions, World
    Championships and Olympic Games, from the table of 32
    onwards;
    - Team events of the team World Cup and of the World
    Championships, from the top 8 teams;
    - Team events of the Olympic Games, from the beginning of the
    competition.

    I was gonna say, this came up a while ago in that thread where the South American (I believe) got hit through a lexan visor in epee, and then they made the ruling for foil, but it was the sabreurs who were left screaming...

    All well and good that they decided that in 07, but then in January 08, this urgent letter came down: http://www.fie.ch/download/letters/2...%20%202-08.pdf

    "As the exact circumstances of the accident mentioned above need to
    be investigated, it has been decided that the obligatory use of the
    mask with a transparent visor in foil is temporarily suspended."

    I don't recall anything else ever mentioning it was being reinstated.

    Will there be a table of 64 in MF at the Olympics? Will anyone fence with a traditional mask in them?

    There are 26 fencers in Men's Foil.

    There are 41 fencers in Women's Foil however...
