    Earth

The year is 50,002,001 and 150,000 years ago the United States of America, France, Brazil, Japan, China, and Israel retaliated against a terror attack, that killed the U.N. president. It was later learned that Cuba had been behind the attack. An air raid was in progress when the news arrived. Cuba had possession of an age old nuclear war head that had been banned, with the rest, in the late 22nd century. Cuban officials were threatening to use the war head if any attack was made on its country. The allied forces went ahead with the attack based on information from Iraqi scientists that any warhead from that time period would be defective. On Friday the 13th at exactly 5:04 am, the allied forces went struck the country of Cuba and as threatened, Cuba tried to strike with the nuclear warhead. Unfortunately the Iraqis scientists were correct and the firing mechanism was defective. They had planted the warhead under the surface of the Earth down by the core. simultaneously Cuba fired a missile, and the allied forces dropped a powerful bomb that had the power to wipe out Cuba. The two missed by millimeters and Cuba's missile streaked of into space while the allied forces bomb dropped upon the capital. In seconds Cuba was completely wiped off the face of the Earth. Life went on as normal until five years later astronomers noticed a strange abject approaching the sun. The newly elected president of the U.N. called an emergency meeting of his staff for ideas on what the object could be but none were found. Exactly one year later the missile hit the sun causing solar flares, blackouts, and temperatures on Earth to rise 150 F on the surface while below, where the nuclear warhead was being stored, temperatures reached above 500,000,000,000 F. The sudden heat combined with the age old technology caused the warhead to explode. All over the Earth volcanoes began erupting, polar ice caps melting, and earthquakes began shaking the world.

Now all that remains of mankind is hollowed out buildings where animals, who were not even excluded from the fusion were morphed into unrecognizable creatures, dwelt and slept. Even the water was changed, no longer remotely drinkable, into a twisted form of acid. Days would be full of clouds with little or no sunshine for weeks then suddenly start poring acid onto the remains of what we called Earth. There are few trees left, and only one major forest left on what used to be Africa. This is where the Furbylio thrives and comes out rarely after acid showers to prey upon the Snickler, a descendent of a water snake that lives in the oceans and comes out scrounging for food that got eaten away by the acid rains the previous day. The Furbylio is at the top of the food change but that doesn't stop the Snickler from occasionally eating it's eggs and or young.

Whoa...where are you going with this? Could be interesting...
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Hey, 355, why don't you point out the errors in the code they show in "The Matrix". I mean, the whole thing was so realistic otherwise...

He's got the brass, Dame, He just lacks imaginitive talent, a vocabulary, several hundred million brain cells, the patience required to sit and write, the self restraint to refrain from using expletives and a dad.

    Ho hum.

He'll grow out of it, in a decade or two.

    Steve.
Superior to 355 and the maggot knows it.
