    [NBC Video] Scoring system: Epee

    NBC has posted a new fencing video clip on the NBC Olympics web site.

    In this video Mika'il Sankofa and fencers from the New York Fencers Club demonstrate the scoring system in the epee discipline..

    Am I reading too much into this, or are these fencers at too close a distance?

    I am going to assume the simplicity of their distance and footwork was to ensure the camera could remain stationary. Otherwise, I don't think that was a very impressive demonstration of the complexity of epee fencing.
